Thank you for traveling to Lake Tahoe to celebrate with us! Lake Tahoe is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and straddles the border of California and Nevada. Lake Tahoe is big, with 72 miles of shoreline, so please read the following closely.

Center of Gravity
The weekend will be centered around the picturesque West Shore of Lake Tahoe, home to many of our favorite Tahoe spots. The West Shore stretches along Highway 89 South from Tahoe City to the north to Emerald Bay State Park to the south. Transportation will be provided to/from the ceremony and reception on Saturday for guests staying anywhere along the West Shore, so please book accommodations accordingly.
Getting to Lake Tahoe
By Car: Lake Tahoe is easily accessible by car from several major cities. If you're coming from San Francisco, it's about a 3.5-hour drive via I-80 East. From Sacramento, it's roughly a 2-hour drive. Pro Tip: If possible, avoid car travel during "commute" hours during the week.
By Air: The closest major airport to the Tahoe region is Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), which is about a 1-hour drive from the Lake. Ubers are available from RNO to the Tahoe Basin.
Do I Need a Car?: Part of Lake Tahoe's charm is that it isn't a big city, so Uber and Lyft are spotty (at best). We strongly encourage coming to the Tahoe region with a car.
Safe travels, and we can't wait to see you there!
